Dating and Family Relationships in the Workplace

Are you concerned about the potential conflicts that can occur when employees date or marry, or when family members work together? In the past, employers concerned about these conflicts often imposed rules prohibiting the hiring or retention of an employee's relatives (referred to as nepotism policies) or dating among coworkers (referred to as anti-fraternization policies). Some employers even viewed anti-fraternization policies as a way to reduce the sexual harassment complaints that can arise when consensual romantic relationships sour.
